Paso Robles, also known as El Paseo de Robles, meaning Pass of the Oaks, is found on the beautiful California Central Coast.
This lovely quaint town is located directly between San Francisco and Los Angeles. It is also within easy driving distance from the San Joaquin Valley cities like Bakersfield, Fresno, and Sacramento.
Today, the major industry around Paso Robles is wine. The hills are full of vineyards.
Beautiful countryside reminiscent of Tuscany or Umbria in Italy abound. Mom and Pop wineries as well as the larger, more sophisticated wineries now number to more than 175.
Paso Robles itself has become a unique little town graced with a Carnegie Library in its central park; charming wine bars; and fashionable boutiques.
Robert M. Parker, Jr. in the 6/30/05 issue of the Wine Advocate said: "there is no question that a decade from now, the top viticultural areas of Santa Barbara, Santa Rita Hills and the limestone hillsides west of Paso Robles will be as well-known as the glamorous vineyards of Napa Valley."
So, for your exploration and enjoyment of Paso Robles and the surrounding area, please consider a stay at the ONLY downtown bed and breakfast located within several block walking distance to town and within easy driving distance to the outlying vineyards.

Vine Street Inn is proud to have been featured in the
Central Coast Magazine's October '09 Issue: "For a true taste
of the town(Paso), you'll want to book a stay at
the Vine Street Inn."
